August: Rodeo, Zoo, ER oh my!

I guess August went by faster than I thought.  I am into my third trimester of pregnancy.  The second trimester went well.  I had a lot of pressure the first half of it and my energy was up and down.  We found out at the end of August that we are having another boy!   I was half and half on girl or boy.  A girl would have been nice to do all the girly things with and play dress up.  Andrew having a brother to play with, wrestle with, play catch, trade baseball cards with and other brother things is going to be awesome to watch!  They will be best friends!

Baby brother at 25 weeks old!

At the beginning of the month, Dodge City had it's annual Dodge City days week long festivities.  We went to a couple of things like the charity peddle race, classic car show, Kids Fest, and to end the week Andrew and I's first rodeo!  The Kids Fest was a lot of fun but it was very hot!  We played a couple of games, got a snow cone and got a whole bunch of free stuff.

Andrew and I at the peddle race.

First rodeo.  Lots of longhorn cattle.

Andrew also had swimming lessons for a couple of days.  He did really good at kicking and picking up objects off the ground in the pool.  Didn't really like jumping into the pool.  He doesn't like getting his face wet.  The instructor told me that was very common at his age.

We also went to Freddy's to eat and went to the zoo a couple of times.  Andrew loves watching the elephants.  Too bad our zoo is getting rid of them.  They don't know when but it will probably be before fall/winter hits.  Andrew is going to be very sad but hopefully the other animals will make up for it.

Watching the giraffe

Another one of our favorite things to do it get a Frosty at Wendy's.  Mom has a serious ice cream craving during this pregnancy.  Good thing for Andrew lol. He loves his ice cream like mommy!

Playing outside.

Loves eating corn on the cob.

Daddy's birthday was in August and this is what Andrew got him.  Daddy's favorite candy bar!

Andrew drew daddy a lovely picture.

He said he was talking to daddy.  That phone is a play phone.  Very cute!

Playing in his sand box.  One of his favorite things to do!

Me at 24 weeks (I think)

Swimming in his pool since the local pool was closed for the year.

We had our first trip to the ER.  Andrew was running from the kitchen to the family room and tripped over his own two feet.  Smacked his chin right into the coffee table.  Busted his chin open and we decided he needed to go.  It was 8:30 pm at night when we went and had to drive to Dodge.  Andrew was very good but didn't want to sit still.  I thought he was going to need stitches but they used glue.  It has healed over and we are putting Maderma on it so it doesn't scar.  He was such a big boy at the hospital.  Mommy was worried but proud of him!

Such a big boy!

Andrew officially turned 2.5 years old on August 22, 2015.

He loves to color, play outside, anything that has to do with water, play with his animals, tractors or cars.  Also loves to read and calls it story time! Loves to eat anything except grilled chicken (like daddy) and will try anything that mommy makes.  Even though he is rough and wants to wrestle all the time, he does have a loving, caring sweet side to him that I adore!  Stop growing little man!!!!  He is going to be a great big brother and I can't wait to watch him be one! Love you Andrew Joseph!!!
