Mother's Day Weekend

For Mother's Day weekend, last Friday night we took Andrew over to Grandpa and Grandma Harris' house to spend the weekend there.  We stayed, had dinner and watched the Royals game.

Saturday morning Matt and I slept in which was so nice! We headed to Dodge together so I could go to my eye appointment.  Then we shopped around in Walmart and took our time.  It's amazing how much you can remember or do when you don't have a 2 year around to say no to every min or tell them to sit down every min.  Love Andrew dearly, but it's nice to have Butch and Sandy so close :) After that, we went to Long John Silver for lunch, which was delicious! Not good for you but it was SO tasty! We then came home and watching the Royals game (no surprise!)

After the game, we headed to Menard's to pick out my Mother's Day gift.  Our kitchen doesn't really have a pantry and right now we are using a bookshelf as our pantry. So we were going to build a custom pantry but it was going to be way too expensive. Matt found these wonderful cabinets and we purchased one of each. We will place the double cabinet in the kitchen and the single cabinet in the laundry room.

Matt thought I would like them because of the antique country look I love!

After shopping we went to Old Chicago for dinner.  Love pizza so I was happy happy happy!
Then we headed home for the night.

Sunday morning Matt had to head into work because someone called in.  At first I was upset, but I forgot how much you can get done when you have the house to yourself.  Even though it was Mother's Day, I cleaned, vacuumed, dusted, did laundry, washed some dishes, cleaned up some rooms and it was nice! Around noon, Matt wasn't home yet so I headed over to Sandy and Butch's house to celebrate Mother's Day.  Matt made it over finally and brought his mother and I flowers! Very sweet of him! He also got a balloon for Andrew to give to me, but Andrew didn't want to share lol.

A collage I made for my mom for Mother's Day.

The balloon Andrew got me but wouldn't share.

Flowers from my wonderful husband.

Photo op with Andrew!

Gigantic card and balloon from Andrew

Later that night I had a s'more which was delicious!

The best news I could share the week of Mother's Day that I am pregnant! Being a mother of one is very awesome and I feel very blessed.  Being the mother of two has always been a dream of mine and I can't believe it will be coming true in December!

KC Mini Trip

A couple of weekends ago, we took a mini trip to Olathe to visit with family/friends and go to a Royals game. Friday after work, we drove to Mike and Stephanie's house.  We picked Andrew up from daycare around 4 pm, stopped in Dodge at Walmart for a couple of things, stopped in Hutchenson for dinner at Spangle's and gas then arrived at their house around 10 pm.

Eating at Spangles. He loves his french fries!

Happy kid with french fries and ketchup!

Saturday morning, Stephanie, Sandy, Myranda and I helped Stephanie place some Open House signs out for her Open House on Sunday.  After that, we went to McDonalds for some breakfast and then went to get pedicures! Myranda got a mani and Sandy had her first pedi!  She said she enjoyed it and so did we!

Sandy's first pedi!

After our pedi's, we met Jon, Leslie and the kids along with the rest of the crew at Joe's KC BBQ! So delicious!  After some fellowship with the Winslows, we headed back to the house to get ready to go to the Royals game!

We arrived to the stadium around 3:00 so we could get in early to get the Salvi bobblehead from the Wildcard game last year. We enjoyed some down time before the game started. Had a great time at the game.  Great pitching game but unfortunately the Royals lost.  It was great to see all the trophies though!

Watching Eric Hosmer batting practice.

View from our seats thanks to Mike and Stephanie.

The next morning we ate breakfast with Mike and the kids then headed to the Legends.  We had time to kill so we went to NFM.  Then we met my parents and my grandma at Culver's for lunch.

Lunch time!

Wonderful Mother's Day gift basket from my parents!
My dad picked the card out because he though Andrew would like it!
Love the pomegranate defuser and the massager!

We headed back to Cimarron after that.  Had a great weekend and it was great to see everyone! If we didn't see you, we will be back up Memorial Day weekend!

Watching Peppa Pig on the car ride home.

Easter

Wow, I'm really behind! I thought I wrote a blog for Easter lol! Well let's see what I can remember.
For Easter we went over to Matt's parents house.  Jim, Michele and the girls came over also.  I helped Sandy with lunch.  We had ham, mashed potatoes and gravy, green been casserole, corn and crescent rolls.  Everything was delicious and like usual ate to much.

Andrew was getting antsy before we ate, so I did a part 1 of 2 for an Easter egg hunt.  He did great! Every time he saw an egg, he would scream YAY!!!!

Easter family photo!

Our handsome son Andrew!

Time to start the Easter Egg Hunt Part 1

This was just after the first round.  Andrew had a second round and his bucket was pretty full.  The eggs were filled with candy, chocolate and coins.  After we ate, Andrew did round 2 of the Easter egg hunt.  This time I got it on video, enjoy!

After that we headed home and relaxed for the rest of the evening to gear up for the week.  Hope everyone had a fantastic Easter as well!
