Louisburg Cider Mill

This past weekend we went to the Louisburg Cider Mill.  We have been wanting to go for a couple of weeks now and we finally had time to go. It was the second weekend for Cider Fest so it was busier than normal. Once we got there we headed to the vendor tents.  People were selling everything from kettle corn, to home decor nick-knacks, to books, to wood carvings, to ice cream and more!  It was pretty neat seeing all the different things.  After we walked though the tents, we headed over by the actual cider mill and took some pictures.

After we got done walking around, we headed to one of the LONG lines for the cider mills famous cider doughnuts and hot apple cider!  We stood in line for about 30 min.

Here was the line we stood in!

Well the wait was definitely worth it!  We got some cider doughnuts, root beer, apple butter and some hot apple cider.  Everything was delicious! After we gathered our things, we headed back to the car. Note to self: ALWAYS pack a stroller!  Rookie mommy mistake on my part! Forgot to put the umbrella stroller in the trunk so we had to carry Andrew around.  It wasn't that bad except when we walked back to the car with Andrew, the diaper bag, a bag of doughnuts, some root beer and a cup of hot cider.  Between Matt and I we made it though!  We sat in the car for a little bit, ate a doughnut or two and drank some cider.  The cider was delicious, not too sweet but not too bland.

Then shortly after we headed over to the corn maze and pumpkin patch.  Andrew was getting cranky and Matt and I didn't feel like paying money to get into this part of the cider mill and pay for a pumpkin.  So in the front they had some pumpkins and I took the opportunity to take some pictures of Andrew next to some pumpkins!

We are going to make this a family tradition now and once Andrew gets old enough, he will be able to play in the bounce houses and run in the corn maze! Can't wait!
