Andrew 15 Months

This post is a little over due, sorry! The past three months have been a whirlwind with moving to Columbia, unpacking, settling in and having a toddler in the house! I figured since Andrew is over one now, I wouldn't need to do a blog for every month.  He is definitely growing and not a baby anymore.  We have a toddler in our house now.  Andrew is becoming more of his own person with a strong head or stubbornness, whatever you'd like to call it lol. Loves going to daycare and knows when we are going.  In the morning once he is done getting ready, he goes by the garage door and waits for me.  The daycare is right down the street from our house, so on nice days I walk Andrew down in his car.  He loves riding in that car.  Every time we go out to the garage, even if we aren't going to daycare he wants to get in that car.  He gets very upset if I tell him we are going in the big car to run errands or go somewhere. It's amazing how much more joy a child will bring to your life and we have enjoy every moment watching Andrew grow up.  Below is a list of his some favorite/not so favorite things, updates about Andrew, and some pictures! Enjoy!

Love and Rock Chalk!!!

The past two weekend have been very busy for us.  Luckily this weekend is a three day weekend of relaxation, antique shopping and oh yeah our 2nd Anniversary!

The Friday before Mother's Day, Andrew's daycare had a Mother's Day brunch.  I was able to eat breakfast with him and his friends.  Since Andrew doesn't go to daycare on Friday's we were still able to come and eat.

Having breakfast with Andrew and his friends.

Since we were coming to Lansing/Lawrence for my sister's graduation we stayed in Columbia for Mother's Day weekend.  The Saturday before Mother's Day, I signed Andrew and I up for a gym class.  It was at The Little Gym here in Columbia and Andrew had a lot of fun.  It was basically an hour for the kids to blow off some energy.  There were some circle time activities.  Andrew really didn't want to sit still for those.  He wanted to climb on everything.  Towards the end of the class they brought out all the balls and of course Andrew had so much fun with that.  He tried to pick up more than two balls at a time.

Trying to pick up more that two balls.

Climbing on everything.

A couple of times before we got started, he looked at me like " I can climb on this mom???"

At the very end of class, the teacher was blowing bubbles.

Andrew didn't know what to think lol.

We decided to enroll Andrew in swimming lessons this summer instead of the gym.  They were offered at the same time and I really want Andrew to learn how to swim.  He starts swimming lessons on Saturday June 7th.  We will miss the first class because we will be in KC.

For Mother's Day the boys took me to Longhorn Steakhouse for lunch and Culver's for dinner.  I told them I wasn't cooking at all that day!  Andrew got me a necklace with different charms in it.  It was a very nice and relaxing day!

My two favorite guys!

Necklace from Andrew.  KC for the Royals, a baseball, a little boy with Andrew's birth stone, a heart with the word MOM and a blue crystal (favorite color)!

I know this isn't healthy but it was SO GOOD!!!

This past Friday they had Luau day at daycare.  We went to daycare to have a strawberry shortcake with the kids.

He only ate the strawberries and whip cream.

This past weekend we headed to Lansing/Lawrence for my sister's graduation from KU!!! So proud of her to stick with it and finish her degree!!! Saturday we met at her house for a graduation party with the family.

My parents got her one of those Edible Arrangements which was pretty awesome! My favorite part was the chocolate covered green apples.

On Sunday my dad, mom, Matt, Andrew, Renee and I headed to Lawrence for graduation. After that we went to lunch where Renee wanted to go, Longhorn Steakhouse.  Then we headed back to Columbia.  Enjoy some pictures of from her special day!!!

It was so nice being back in Lawrence.  I hadn't been in a good two years!
